The beginning

Puppy days

Protect the tiny puppy around stairs, furniture and larger animals. Reward gentle handling and toilet trips, and introduce people and household experiences gradually without overwhelming them.

Your everyday

Adult life

Offer walks, retrieving games and new tricks instead of relying on lap time alone. Continue supervision around larger animals and arrange company during longer absences.

Everyday care

Comb silky furnishings behind ears, inside hind legs and around thighs to prevent mats. Add daily walks or play, regular grooming, nail trims and tooth brushing.

Worth planning for: Confidence can exceed body size; prevent unsafe chasing or confrontations with bigger dogs and cats.
