The beginning

Puppy days

Introduce new people and sounds gradually. Reward quiet observation of movement and make brushing a pleasant, brief routine.

Your everyday

Adult life

Continue learning and settling practice. Use leads and secure play areas; supervise moving children and animals because chasing may appear.

Everyday care

Check the long double coat daily and brush through regularly, especially behind ears, elbows and tail. Expect seasonal shedding.

Worth planning for: A loud watchdog voice can challenge shared walls and quiet homes.
