The beginning

Puppy days

Pair paw handling with rewards and introduce new situations gently. Teach lead comfort and calm observation early.

Your everyday

Adult life

Keep exercise and learning consistent. Use a lead outside secure enclosures even after successful training; supervise pet introductions.

Everyday care

The short double coat sheds heavily; regular brushing controls loose hair. Practice cooperative nail care rather than forcing handling.

Worth planning for: Recall and small-animal compatibility need careful individual assessment.
