An individual story

Bernedoodle

A Bernese Mountain Dog–Poodle cross joins farm-working and retrieving ancestry. Adult build, energy and coat can differ; large size and substantial grooming are possibilities.

Illustrated puppy and adult examples. Mixed dogs can differ in appearance, adult size, coat and personality.

Personality is their own story.

A mixed background cannot supply reliable star ratings. Get to know this dog’s play, greetings and history with children and other animals.

The beginning

Puppy days

Reward polite greetings and gentle lead habits before strength develops. Introduce coat tools positively, with suitable play, frequent toilet trips and unhurried rest.

Your everyday

Adult life

Adjust outings to the adult's size and stamina. Continue calm greetings and grooming; a mature Bernese–Poodle mix is not automatically a low-energy dog.

Everyday care

A thick, wavy or curly coat may require thorough combing and clipping, while other coats shed. Plan practical nails, dental care and daily activity.

Worth planning for: Large size can raise food, transport and care costs; crossing with a Poodle does not guarantee easy grooming.

Explore both parent backgrounds

A mix can inherit different combinations. These describe the parents, rather than averages for their offspring.
